Port Protection is a small remote fishing village located on the NW corner of POW Island off the road system. It is right in the heart of the Inside Passage. It is very well protected and you can always find  calm waters to fish right here in the bay. All 5 species of Salmon pass right by here, and the Halibut and Rockfish are here as well. The boat is 21ft northriver 140hp with 9.9 kicker. Also 16ft Lund available. It has GPS, fishfinder, VHF radio, gaff, net, downriggers, poles and a harpoon for the Halibut, prefer you bring your own fishing gear. You will see an abundance of sea life here. The Island  also has Sitka Black tail deer, Black bear and Wolves.
